Hi families! Yesterday was Valentine's Day and we got lots of lollipops! Valentine's Day was a real hit! We got to celebrate Clarks birthday today and made him his own book! Last week we celebrated Lunar New Year. We have been learning about space. Did you know when stars explode they turn into a black hole? We had a really fun week!! Love you all!
Love Mrs. Rimek, Miss Olesen, Ms. Isenor and Division 10 Hello! We have really loved having the snow this week! We did lots of building and imaginary play in the snow during our recesses. In science this week the focus has been on the sun and moon. Today is Jaden's birthday. He is the first kid in our class to turn 7! We made cool snow globe art with Miss Olesen this week. We started learning our double facts in addition this week. We continue to learn reading skills throughout the day and in literacy groups. Bye, families!
Sincerely, Division Ten and Mrs. Rimek Happy New Year!! This week we started to study the Solar System in science. Did you know that the sun is a star? We continue to practice our subiting in math. We also started to learn about addition this week. We are starting to create our first writing books and are learning different ways to be authors. In Social Emotional Learning this week, we talked about personal space. Au revoir!
Sincerely, Division 10 & Mrs. Rimek Happy Holidays! Jaden is still missing Miss Olesen and thinks things are a bit boring without her. Today is the last day before Winter Break. We had a great assembly this morning where we enjoyed some holiday music. Today is Santa Claus Day in our Countdown to Winter Break. We played Santa tag and Elves vs. Grinch in the gym. (Mrs. Rimek was the Grinch!) We made a distraction so Fannon could get the last present in the sack and then Mrs. Rimek, The Grinch, lost. We love you families!
Sincerely, Division 10, Mrs. Rimek and Ms. Isenor Hello Families! Today is Snow Day on our Countdown to Winter Break. On the 22nd it will be Santa Day. We only have 5.5 school days left until our vacation. This week was our first week without Miss Olesen. We miss her because she is a great teacher. We had our two Winter Concerts this week. Thank you for coming to cheer us on. Don't forget to read our report cards online! We love you, families.
Sincerely, Division 10, Mrs. Rimek & Ms. Isenor Hello Families! We have holiday decorations up in the classroom. Last week, we went to the Royal Theatre to listen to the Naden Band. We have started our Winter Countdown. Tuesday was Stocking day and today is Candy Cane Day. Sadly, it is Miss Olesen's last day today. We are giving her a surprise this afternoon....it's a secret though! We will miss her SO much! We have been learning about everything! We have been really good at school this week. We love you! See you after school.
Sincerely, Division 10, Mrs. Rimek, Miss Olesen and Ms. Isenor It was a busy but fun trip! What great music to get us into the holiday spirit! We only got a few photos this time.... We had a great time at Swan Lake last Thursday. We started out in the Nature House learning all about snakes and turtles. We got to see and touch real snake skin! Then we met Peachy the Ball Python and got the opportunity to pet her. After petting Peachy, those who felt comfortable got a chance to hold her and feel her weight. Next up, we started to talk about turtles and got to examine a turtle shell. After that we got to meet Swan Lake's famous turtle, Wrinkles. Before leaving the Nature House, we stopped in to visit the bees! We lucked out with an absolutely gorgeous day on Thursday. We spent the rest of our time having outdoor snack, going for a long walk and listening to a story. So grateful for this beautiful place! Time to head back to Lake Hill. The bus ride is always exciting too!
Hello families. We celebrated Diwali today. We also went to the gym for a Remembrance Day assembly. We did a poem at the assembly, which we practiced very hard for. We learned about different types of Reptiles this week, it was very fun! In math this week we made a number line together and practiced ordering numbers 1-20. See you later alligators.
Love, Division 10, Ms. Olesen, Mrs. Rimek and Ms. Isenor |
